For a pendent drop whose contact line is circle of radius r0, we derive the Furmidge-like relation mgsin?=?2?r0(cos?min?cos?max) at first order in Bond number, where ?min and ?max are angles back (uphill) front (downhill), m mass ? surface tension liquid. The (or Eötvös) number taken as Bo=mg?(2r0?). tilt angle ? may increase from ?=0 (sessile drop) to ?=??2 (drop pinned on vertical wall) ?=? ceiling). focus will be drops with ?=3??4, while ?=??4 also included for comparison. profile computed exactly, same approximation. Results compared Surface Evolver simulations, showing good agreement up about Bo=1.2, corresponding example hemispherical water droplets volume 50?L. An explicit formula each given almost exact values.
